CAPTURING THE SUNSET.

Friday, May 29, 2009 | |

You might say I am crazy because I wrote "Capturing the Sunset" as the title but I only posted 3 pictures of mom's bottle collections. So, here's the truth..

These photos are examples of common still life photographs (okay, you already knew it, so let's skip still life knowledge part!). So there are many ways to approach in still life photography, the most used by professional photographers is using photography set up in the studio. These all we need to create perfect still life photographs: photography set up, studio, and appropriate lighting approach. But how about me? I don't have a studio, and I don't understand about lighting approach (and that's why I need to take a still life photography class), but.. during sunset period, I have a very, very beautiful natural light in my bed room. Those photos above were taken using natural sunset light from my bed room window :)

The problem is, I need quite a lot of attempts to get good picture, and sunset light in my bed room only happens for 15 until 25 minutes. However, still life photography really requires a deal of practice and patience, so.. I'll try this again later ;)
